All towns
and cities within the Region are eligible for membership. The VCOG is
currently made up of the cities of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton.
In addition, the VCOG administers the Regional Brownfields Program for
the eighteen municipalities of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Berlin, Bristol,
Burlington, Derby, Naugatuck, New Britain, Newtown, Oxford, Plainville,
Plymouth, Seymour, Shelton, Southington, Thomaston, Waterbury and Watertown.

| Founded by a businessman in 1893, Ansonia is a small
